I am a Software Developer and Scrum Master at General Motors of Canada. Currently I am developing the next generation audio platform for General Motors vehicles (GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac). This involves a lot of design and implementation work for various parts of the linux C++ code to enable audio streaming, recording and control. I am also working as the Scrum Master for this same team. In this role, I facilitate various SAFe Agile ceremonies, coach the team on agile and lean practices, and help us pursue relentless improvement. Or, in short, ensuring we have as few meetings as we need to in order to plan, coordinate and discuss our work thoroughly.
My educational history includes a BSc. from Simon Fraser University in Mathematics and Computer Science. In my free time, I occasionally study new areas of mathematics. Most recently, I’ve re-developed an interest in random variables. I guess you could say that I’m a bit of a math-magician!
I attended Simon Fraser University from 2016-2021, and graduated in June 2021 with a BSc. in Mathematics and Computer Science. My coursework included algorithms, data structures, databases, data science, cryptography, networking and software design. As well as mathematical optimization, dynamical systems, various analysis courses and statistics.
I am a regular at my local rock climbing gym. I boulder, top rope and lead climb. I deeply enjoy the combined physical and mental challenge of climbing. I also run quite a lot. I am hoping to run a sub 20 minute 5k sometime in the next year. When I’m not being active, I enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, Dota 2, or anything that involves learning something new.
