Early 2023, I stepped up to become a Scrum Master of a new scrum team formed to work on the development of the next generation audio platform. In this role I have focused on establishing team processes and shared expectations. I hold the gambit of regular scrum ceremonies, including daily standup, sprint planning, PI planning, etc. And, of course, spend time coordinating with our PO to understand the business priorities of the team. I have very much enjoyed improving my leadership and coaching skills.
I have also continued on as an embedded software developer. In this new team, I have seen the development process for the infotainment software from inception. I have spent a lot of time in design discussions with teammates, and working to build the audio platform ground up. Lately, I have primarily been using C and C++.
In this role, I briefly worked on developing features for the audio platform in Android. However, I quickly transitioned into developing features and tools in QNX. I worked closely with suppliers and a global team to triage, debug and resolve defects. In this role, I mainly used C++ and Java.
